Southern Utah
Zion National Park is in southern Utah, not Arizona, and ceremonies there are limited to locations the park designates, under a special use permit with its own group limits and conditions. We confirm current requirements, handle the permit and day-of logistics, and quote Zion dates individually.
Zion offers canyon-floor settings framed by enormous sandstone walls, along with quieter areas outside the main canyon. Access ranges from paved and easy to genuine hiking. Park permits are required for ceremonies, and shuttle seasons affect timing, so these dates are planned well in advance.
Zion sits in southern Utah, several hours from Sedona, and is often combined with Bryce Canyon on the same trip. Marriage licensing, park rules, and travel are Utah matters here — a point worth getting right early in planning.
The scenery is vertical: sheer cream and rust canyon walls above a green river corridor. It feels enclosed and monumental at once, which is very different from Sedona's open red-rock horizons.
Not every trail, overlook, or riverbank can be used. The park publishes designated wedding locations, and each carries its own maximum group size and conditions — including where you may set up, whether chairs are allowed, and how long you may occupy the space.
We confirm the current list and limits with the park for your date rather than working from last season's information, and we will tell you if the site you have seen in photographs is not one you can book.
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable and the busiest. Summer is hot in the canyon with monsoon-season storms and flash-flood risk in narrow terrain. Winter is quiet, cold, and can be beautiful, with ice affecting some routes.
For much of the year the main canyon is reached by park shuttle rather than private vehicle. That shapes your timeline, what you can carry, and how a group with dresses and florals moves. We build the schedule around it.
Group size follows the designated location, so decide your guest count early. Some authorised sites are close to a shuttle stop on level ground; others require a walk on uneven trail.
Pets are restricted in Zion and are not permitted on most trails, so plan on your dog not attending. If a guest has mobility needs, tell us at the start so we recommend a site that genuinely works.
We confirm requirements, prepare the special use permit, arrange your officiant and photography, and build a timeline that respects shuttle windows and light. You obtain your Utah marriage license, arrange travel and lodging in Springdale or nearby, and cover park entrance.

Zion dates are quoted individually. The Sedona $3,500 starting price applies to Sedona only; Utah travel and park permitting are priced per date.
